Refund policy

This Refund Policy is issued by LifeTales Corp., a Canadian corporation operating as “Baby Yearbooks” (“Baby Yearbooks”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This policy is incorporated by reference into the Baby Yearbooks Terms and Conditions available at https://babyyearbooks.com/policies/terms-of-service.
It applies to all purchases made through Baby Yearbooks and is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

1. Subscriptions, Bundles, and Features

Your initial purchase includes a subscription to the Baby Yearbooks app and any associated bundles or special features.

You may cancel your purchase for any reason within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date and receive a full refund minus non-refundable payment processing fees, which are typically approximately 5% of the total order value.

After the 30-day cancellation period has expired, all purchases for subscriptions, bundles and features are final and non-refundable.

 

2. Author Responsibility and Content Review

Baby Yearbooks does not proof, edit, or modify your content in any way. Your book—whether printed or digital — is created solely based on the content you provide.

You are responsible for reviewing your book prior to placing a print order, including reviewing all available preview modes. You may wish to ask another person to review your book as well.

You are solely responsible for the following (collectively, “Author Content”):

  • Typos, grammar errors, unfinished or placeholder text
  • Low-resolution images that may appear blurry in print or onscreen
  • Dark images that may print darker than they appear on a backlit screen
  • Design choices, including layout, format, organization, color, and style
  • Any other creative or editorial decisions made using Baby Yearbooks software

By placing a print order, you confirm that you have reviewed and approved your book for printing.

Baby Yearbooks is not responsible for issues arising from Author Content and does not provide refunds or reprints for dissatisfaction related to such content.

 

3. Printed Books

Cancellation Policy for Printed Books

You may cancel an order for a printed book within one (1) hour of placing the order, provided the book has not yet entered production.

Once a printed book enters production, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded, except as expressly described in this Refund Policy.

Replacement Policy for Printed Books

If your printed book arrives damaged, with a material manufacturing defect, or with a material defect in workmanship, please contact us at hello@babyyearbooks.com within thirty (30) days of receipt. We will work with you to determine whether a replacement copy is appropriate.

Printed books are individually manufactured by Baby Yearbooks’ professional printing partners. As a result, minor variations may occur between print runs or printers, including (but not limited to):

  • Slight color variations
  • Minor differences in binding or finishing

These variations are a normal part of the print-on-demand process and do not constitute manufacturing defects or defects in workmanship. They do not qualify for refunds or reprints.

Baby Yearbooks does not offer refunds or replacements for printed books due to dissatisfaction with content, design, layout, image quality, or other creative decisions made by the User.

 

4. Digital Products (eBooks and PDFs)

Due to the nature of digital goods, Baby Yearbooks eBooks and PDF books are non-refundable and non-cancellable once delivered.

Baby Yearbooks does not provide replacements for digital products.

 

5. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
